Astro Bot: Game of the Year di The Game Awards 2024

Game of The Year, siapa pemenangnya? – Ajang penghargaan tahunan The Game Awards 2024 kembali menjadi sorotan utama di dunia gaming.

Pada tahun ini, gelar Game of the Year jatuh kepada Astro Bot, mengalahkan sejumlah nominasi unggulan seperti Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, dan Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Keputusan ini sontak mengundang beragam reaksi dari komunitas gamer. Meski Astro Bot berhasil mengesankan banyak pihak dengan konsepnya yang unik dan memanfaatkan nostalgia pemain setia PlayStation, sebagian pemain merasa tidak setuju.

Kontroversi Penobatan Astro Bot

Astro Bot telah mencuri hati banyak pemain melalui gameplay inovatif dan penggunaan elemen nostalgia PlayStation klasik sebagai daya tarik utamanya.

Namun, beberapa gamer, khususnya penggemar Black Myth: Wukong, menyuarakan kekecewaan mereka.

Mereka berpendapat bahwa pencapaian grafis, narasi mendalam, dan pengaruh budaya dari Black Myth: Wukong seharusnya menjadikannya kandidat yang lebih layak untuk gelar Game of the Year.

Meski demikian, Astro Bot tetap membuktikan diri sebagai salah satu karya terbaik dengan memenangkan sejumlah penghargaan lainnya, termasuk Best Game Direction dan Best Action/Adventure Game.
